Lucky for us here at Sierra Hart Automotive, the looks of repairs have stayed relatively the same over the years. Because we do know so much about cars and they ways they have evolved over the years, let us give you a few minor tips in regards to you and your vehicles servicing or repairs!
Know your car before taking it in!
- Read the owner’s manual
- Stick to the recommended service schedules
- Keep documentation of all reports and servicing
Don’t ignore your car when it’s trying to tell you something is wrong! Pay attention to warning bulbs and abnormal sounds
Be sure to pay special attention to:
- Abnormal sounds, odors, drips, leaks, smoke, warning lights, or guage readings
- Changes in acceleration, engine performance, gas mileage, or fluid levels
- Worn tires, belts, or hoses
- Issues with handling, braking, or steering
- Document when the problems occur
- Analyze if this happens all the time or on a periodic basis
- Pay attention to temperatures of your car
- Make a note of when the problems first started
